The Gambler in Simple Linen

Two of my favorite stores, Siss Boom and Lemania Indigo Designs, released and re-released two beautiful designs today. I love that at both stores, outfits are sold as sets! I never have to worry about finding something to match a top or a bottom. Simple Linen by Siss Boom features a gorgeous pair of jeans with a very soft sweater (bow attached). The Gambler by Lemania Indigo Designs is a re-release of one my favorite designs by Lemania which features a shirt, skirt, shoes and amazing top hat with playing cards! Both of these outfits are available for L$100 for a limited time.

Surrey Tayla

Baby Monkey celebrated the grand opening of their new store today along with some new releases. The store is beautiful! You definitely need to stop in and see it. Surrey is a boot that features frayed material which is perfect for a western look! The boots are accompanied by an alpha layer to hide your legs in V2 of Second Life; an invisiprim boot is also included for customers who have not upgraded to the new version. Twelve colors are available for L$150 per pair, L$600 for six colors or L$850 for the fatpack.

Tayla is a beautiful new addition to Baby Monkey's ultimate collection. I have always been slightly afraid of shoes that include sculpted feet because they never look right on me! The shoes feature color change options for the shoe, heel, toe ring, toenails and skin color. There is also an option for a custom skin color which I very bravely tried. Baby Monkey graciously included instructions on how to use the custom color along with instructions on how to find the red, green and blue tones in your skin. Just a side note - If you are using Second Life V 2.3, to show color 'numbers' under your cursor, go to Develop > Show Info > Show Color Under Cursor. I was very impressed and very pleased with how my feet turned out! Tayla is available for L$100 per pair with options including blacks & reds, blues & greens, browns & golds and pinks & purples. PPPSSSTTTT!!! If you are participating in Luna Jubilee's 52 Weeks of Color, there is a goldenrod option in the browns & golds pack!

Baby Monkey Pumps

Dear Blog Readers,

I have a confession that I must make. It appears that I have come down with an illness that is not soon to be cured. That is right, I am addicted to Second Life shoes. This illness is showing symptoms much like my incurable addiction to Second Life hair. I hope you will understand if I make many random posts involving my feet as it is a side effect that cannot be stopped. As a temporary fix, Baby Monkey has supplied me with copies of their beautiful new pumps, Mia (Color Change) and Simone (Nude Color FREE Group Gift). I hope you find these as irresistible as I do.

Sincerely,
Lashae Karsin

I Always Wanted to Be a Princess...

Being a Disney princess for Halloween is most definitely a timeless classic. Every little girl grows up wishing she was a princess; some of the lucky ones actually get to live out that dream. My real life boyfriend, who also happens to be my Second Life husband, has shown me that you don't have to have royal blood flowing in your veins to be a princess; all you need is someone who loves you enough to treat you like one every day of your life. I truly could not ask for anyone better.

So, where do you find your Disney princess costumes in Second Life? I have had the Cinderella costume from A Touch of Ireland stuck in my closet for almost a year now; actually, I think that it may have been the first costume that I purchased from the designer which led me to falling in complete love with her work! As you can see, the detail is absolutely amazing! A pumpkin coach is actually included with the purchase! You also receive a pumpkin 'pet' that follows you around and talks to people, shoes and jewelry. A costume fit for a princess!

Another wonderful place to pick up your Disney princess costumes is Fierce Designs! I remember when Disney first released Aladdin; I would sit in front of my television and watch the movie over and over! The designs of the buildings always fascinated me. I also always thought that it would be neat to have a pet tiger... a tame pet tiger that is! The Jasmine princess costume includes jewelry, hair and skin!
