The Orient Express

Photobucket

Typically when a designer sends me something to review, it is clothing, shoes, jewelry, hair or skin. Never before had I received a train in a blogger package. And, not just any train, but an Orient Express by Blue Sky (Agatha Christie instantly came to mind!) with moving parts and sounds. I honestly believe that sometimes I overuse backgrounds in my pictures and don’t take enough pictures using in world scenery. I suppose there are several reasons for that being a lack of time and of course a lack of skill in using the Second Life environment. Hopefully this summer I will have more time to work on that.

The rez-faux the Orient Express is packaged in makes it extremely easy to set up. All you need is a parcel that will accommodate 50x10 space and 170 free prims. The train features two passenger rooms, a dining room and a long hallway which is great for posing! The blues and copper colors give the train a very classy feel. The passenger rooms each include shutting doors which allows for more privacy. The train is tucked neatly inside a large skybox which contains moving scenery textures. You will really feel like you are moving in this train when you look out the windows!

I realize that not everyone would want to live in a train; so, how could you use an Orient Express in your personal inventory? If you are looking to surprise someone on a Second Life date, a dinner for two aboard a train would be a very romantic way of doing so! Also, hosting a party on a train would be a very unique event indeed. And, I’m sure that I don’t need to mention for all of the bloggers out there what a great photo prop this is! So, how much will this beauty cost you?? Absolutely nothing! Yes, you read that correctly. Until March 17, the Orient Express is available on two lucky boards (10 min wait time) absolutely free of charge!

While you are waiting on your letter to appear at Blue Sky, take a minute to look around at all of the different builds available. You won’t be disappointed!

  1. This train is amazing and a friend of mine discovered there is a red button in the dining car that needs to be pushed occassionaly.
