What little girl doesn’t want to grow up and be a princess? Unfortunately, real life does not turn out that way for most of us. The set comes in three separate pieces including a necklace, earrings and a tiara which features beautiful white gold, pearls and diamonds. Two color options, diamond and pink diamond, are available at a discounted price for a limited time. Sale prices are as follows: Necklace – L$177, Earrings – L$77 and Tiara – L$100. Love Me Some Hair!

I could barely control myself yesterday on my first visit to Head Mistress. Never in a million years would I have believed that you could find hair at the quality offered in this chic little shop in fatpacks for only L$150. Yes, you read that correctly, dear readers... L$150 for fifteen amazing colors of exquisitely sculpted hair. The textures this hair features are very beautiful and blend very well. It will be very difficult for you to leave this shop without purchasing something!

Don’t you just LOVE the skin I’m wearing?! If not, you need that pretty little head of yours checked. Hehe . Ice Queen Happy Holidays is the FREE Christmas gift from Curio. Yes, I just said FREE Curio skin. Woot! A normal and freckled version of the skin is included in the holiday package in every skin tone available from Curio. To grab this skin before it disappears, search for and join the Gala & Rita Design Announcements group in world. This group is free to join. As my first ever Curio skin, I can honestly say that I am falling in love♥, and you just may be seeing me in a lot more Curio skins in the future!

The clothing I am wearing in my first picture is the Taylor sweater from Pink Outfitters at House of London which features multiple wearing layers (Thank you, London Dailey!!) and two prim attachments. I absolutely fell in love with this sweater as soon as I saw it in the notice. The prims are beautifully sculpted and blend well with the shirt/sweater layers of the top. At only L$50 each, this sweater is really a steal! Eight colors are available at the sale price until January 4, 2011.

The clothing I am wearing in the second picture has been featured several times before but is definitely worth featuring again. Actually, it has kind of become my emergency grab shirt. I simply LOVE it! The shirt is part of a complete outfit by Siss Boom titled Winter Basics. The ensemble features jeans, a shirt layer and the sweater layer that I am wearing above. Prim attachments are also included for the jeans and the sweater which gives the outfit a more realistic look. If you want to grab this, you will have to hold off until January 1st as the Lemania SIM is being remodeled. I’m really excited and cannot wait to see what Lestat Reuven creates! I so love, love, love her builds!

The jewelry featured in both the first and second pictures is from EarthStones. If you are anything like me, you simply cannot stay away from the exquisite sculpts created by Abraxxa Anatine. There are very few pieces released that I don’t love. The best part about both items featured here is that they are available in the Bargain Loft at a discounted price! The dangle beads set features tiny, little beads ‘dangling’ from a silver linked chain. The necklace, earrings and bracelet are all sold as separate pieces in ten color options at L$150 each. If you have ever been to EarthStones, you know that is definitely a bargain! The Diamond Circle Drop Set in Silver/Red Jasper features a linked chain and a stone suspended inside of a diamond circle. I absolutely love this set! It is offered in four center stone options and two metal options (eight options total). The set includes both the necklace and the earrings for L$175.

Tay Tay ♔

Sometimes, it’s good to just have fun with Second Life! I found a pose set at Glitterati last week, and I have been waiting for just the right outfit to use it with. The Profile Pose set completely reminds me of one of my younger sisters irl. She is constantly taking her picture from above with her cell or camera with smooch lips and a peace sign. Lol You have to love her.

[SE*Designz] recently released an outfit, titled Knit Tunic Outfit Grey, that simply screamed Tay Tay (my rl sister’s nickname)! The ensemble comes complete with sweater, leggings and prim toed shoes. The sweater contains six prim attachments; if you want to wear jewelry with this shirt, you must use the latest version of Second Life in order to wear multiple attachments on the same spot. The arm pieces do contain a resize script; however, the body pieces do not. The design on the leggings is really cute; the only part that I really don’t like about them is that your booty pops out in the back. I prefer to be covered. The black sandals are adorable! They contain a menu to easily change skin color and toe nail polish. The entire outfit is available for L$300.

If I Could Go Back...

One of the aspects of Second Life that I first fell in love with was the ability to be someone from any era, whether in the past or in the future. I am sure that many of us have enjoyed having this ability in world. If I could visit another time, it would most likely be a time when women wore poofy dresses and common courtesy was the norm. That is exactly what the new release from Siss Boom reminded me of today which will be available for a limited time at L$100. The poofy skirt and adorable little hat sent me back to another time. At least if I can’t experience it irl, I can experience it in Second Life!

Shoes ♥

I have been in absolute shoe heaven today! When I logged into Second Life this morning, I got a notice that Elikatira, formerly ETD, has finally released shoes! Yes, I know I’m a little excited (!!!), but I honestly cannot help myself. The quality of every Elikapeka Tiramisu design is absolutely stunning, no matter if it is hair or shoes… or I am sure anything else for that matter. I am still honestly stunned (Note: definitely NOT complaining!) at the prices she is selling her shoes for. Nowhere else in Second Life can you get this quality for this price. Current prices are as follows: Move Pumps L$180, Flair Flats L$180, Secret Boots L$200 and Live Boots L$200. Fatpacks range from L$1200 to L$1600; that is only about L$100 per pair in the fatpacks! Also, an updated design of the ETD buckle flats, now titled Millside Flats, was released at a permanent discounted price of L$90 per pair or L$650 for the fatpack (12 colors).

A very dear friend, Tapika Tomsen, introduced me to Kalnins Fashion Footwear today. I very vaguely remember being in this store when I was very new in Second Life while on a hunt. I suppose it stands out in my mind because the hint was to look for a redelivery terminal, and at the time, I had no idea what that was. While there, I noticed the pictures of the shoes on the wall and hoped that the hunt prize was a pair of shoes! I don’t remember now whether it was or it wasn’t, but the quality I saw in the pictures must have stuck in my mind. The only disappointment that I had with my purchases from Kalnins is that the shoes have not been updated for Viewer 2. I really detest the invisiprim ‘halo’ but thankfully found a couple alphas that were already in my inventory which worked well with the Promenade and Snow Drift Boots. Both shoes are color change and sell for L$750 and L$800 respectfully.

Frou Frou You You

It has been a blah kind of day; there’s been too much snow outside for too long. Thankfully, I can teleport to warm locations in Second Life. It’s just too bad that I can’t actually feel the warmth from the pixel sun on my skin! With absolutely no where to go, I decided to go shopping (like I needed an excuse!).

The Dressing Room Blue updated its collection yesterday, and, as usual, there are a lot of nice items being offered all at L$70 or under. My favorite item from the new collection is from the featured guest, Royal Blue. The Frou Frou You You skirt may have an extremely odd name, but it is absolutely beautiful! The sculpted skirt features three different layers in multiple shades of blue. This color trio is exclusive to The Dressing Room Blue and is available for L$69. The shirt I am wearing to match is also by Royal Blue and can be purchased at their flagship store location.

Merry Christmas!

“And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger; because there was no room for them in the inn. And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger.” Luke 2:6-12

Week 8 of 52 Weeks of Color - Green

Merry Christmas, everyone! I hope that everyone has a blessed holiday, and I hope you get to spend it with the ones you love! I loved the color challenge this week. It was, of course, absolutely perfect for the season!

Sometimes I forget that I am still new enough in Second Life to not be familiar with all of the really great designers. I was introduced to LeLutka for the first time this week, and I have to be honest… I have absolutely fallen in love with the designs! Everything, and I mean everything, is so exceptionally made. The dress I am wearing, titled Zareah, caught my eye as soon as I saw it. The sculpted pieces are so beautifully designed. The only, very minor, issue that I have with them is that there is no resize script. However, you do have modify permissions which easily allows you to either resize manually or add your own scripts to them, which is what I prefer to do since I suck at manually resizing… and I tend to be a bit OCD.

They shoes I’m wearing, titled Saffron Pumps, are also from LeLutka. The Electric Red color so perfectly matched the Cherry hair in Red Lobster Buffet that !lamb. had as a 50 Linden Friday special today, and I could NOT pass them up! The shoes are absolutely gorgeous, and I never want to take them off! Ok… at least until I find my next favorite pair of shoes which probably be tomorrow knowing me. LOL What can I say? I’m a sucker for fabulous shoes!!

Scandinavian Fame

Aaaaahhhh Christmas Break! It was so nice to finally be able to wake up after the sun rises this morning. Snow is still on the ground from the monstrous storm we had last week; hopefully it will stick around a few more days to give us a white Christmas! Speaking of the white stuff, I received an adorable winter items from an absolutely amazing designer yesterday. DCNY’s Scandinavian Poncho is completely sculpted (one attachment) and reminds me very much of a poncho I have in my real life. I absolutely love the complete wrap around design with the high collar and fur trimmed bottom. The textures are very realistic and leave me with a warm and cozy feeling. Five colors are available for customers to choose from.

Although I wouldn’t necessarily classify the FAME Pumps from LeLutka as strictly “winter” shoes, the added leg warmers definitely make them wearable, and rather fashionable, during the colder days! I received these shoes as a very generous Christmas gift from my very good friend SweetDeb Kips. When I opened these shoes yesterday, I instantly fell in shoe love! As my regular readers already know, I can NEVER have enough shoes, and a perfectly sculpted pair of shoes absolutely sends me over the edge… in a good way. The FAME Pumps feature a thick high heel and an adorable tassel in the front. The textures throughout the entire shoe are realistic with added highlights and shading. Both the striped and plain styles of legwarmers are included with your purchase and are texture change with six colors to choose from. The top, main and bottom of the legwarmers can be changed individually. Fourteen color choices are available which can be purchased individually or in a fatpack.

Cover Me

I suppose this is just the week for beautiful skin releases! Gum by JeSyLiLo was technically released about two weeks ago, but it’s still new to me! I absolutely love the lips on this skin; they are very glossy, and I love glossy! This skin also features soft makeup tones while still adding a nice splash of color to your ava. All of the options included with this skin are amazing! With each skin, you will receive options for eyeliner/no eyeliner, matte/shiny, small breasts/large breasts, and hairbase/no hairbase. This skin is available in light, tan and dark versions. Individual makeups are available for L$1200 each and fatpacks are available for L$4500.

The dress I am wearing, titled As One, is a new release from Siss Boom. This beautiful dress is so delicate and screams femininity! The dress features both a jacket and shirt layer; the jacket layer is short (about midriff) while the shirt layer extends down to the lower waist. The skirt in this outfit is sculpted. This dress is available for only L$100 for a limited time only!

On the Move

I was not very happy when I logged into Second Life yesterday only to discover that the SIM I lived on was being done away with and that I needed to immediately move. I would have appreciated just a little bit of notice so that I could be searching for somewhere to relocate to. It also saddened me because the island was so green and pretty. Thankfully, it only took me about thirty minutes to find a suitable replacement that was green with very little lag. I love an ocean view both in real life and second life, but I’m not a fan of sand. I much prefer and ‘Irish’ green. My new home provides the luxury of both!

In the rush to move my Second Life home yesterday, I didn’t really have time to make a new post. On Saturday, I posted a review on English Rain, the new skin from Siss Boom, which has turned out to be my most popular post of all time! I did not include a picture for the makeup layer in that post due to some technical difficulties, but I have taken a picture of it and would love for all of my readers to see how beautiful it is! The Makeup 01 tattoo layer is included with the English Rain skin and can also be purchased separately for L$95.

English Rain

I was extremely impressed with the release of the Wind Chill skin by Siss Boom last week. The designer, Lestat Reuven, typically specializes in clothing and home décor. As with all her other designs, it is evident that she has taken extreme care to make her skin line realistic. The newly released English Rain skin is a freckled look, which in my opinion makes it look even more real. Random moles are placed throughout the body, and the ‘seams’ of the skin blend very well together. English Rain comes in both a bare version and a bare with dimples (super cute!) version. One makeup tattoo is currently available for the skin which adds a hint of gloss to the lips. For a limited time, English Rain (including bare and bare w/dimples) is available for L$100 and the makeup tattoo is available for L$35!

Week 7 of 52 Weeks of Color - Cerise

Ok… So, I know that my picture isn’t even close to being mostly created from the color cerise, but that shade of pink is really hard to come by in Second Life! I was amazed that I did already have something in my inventory that color; unfortunately, it was old ETD hair. Don’t get me wrong, a few ETD styles that I have are still some of my favorites, but I am not necessarily a huge fan of pink hair. EEK!

The shirt that I am wearing is the upper portion of a dress, titled Roses Are Pink, by Lestat Reuven. I’m not sure exactly what the name of her store was at the time the dress was created. Her current shop, located on the Lemania SIM, is titled Siss Boom. Lestat has a very unique personality and enjoys changing things up quite often. However, through all the name changes and weekly (ok… sometimes monthly) building changes, her style has remained the same. Anytime I need a classy, elegant or casual look, I know that I will be able to find exactly what I am looking for among Lestat’s creations. She is one of my favorite designers in SL, if not possibly my number one favorite. She is an amazing person, and I absolutely love her to pieces!

I am actually wearing two pair of pants to create this look which is not possible without Viewer 2. The bottom layer of pants is the bottom portion to the Roses Are Pink dress by Lestat Reuven while the top layer is the Delirium Jeans in Coal by Miseria. I first brought you these jeans a few weeks ago, and the designer of Miseria was kind enough to send me the entire fatpack! It’s so difficult to find jeans that have a realistic texture and blend beautifully with the leg prim as well. Obviously, I am not wearing the leg prim in the picture above, but if you would like to see one of my previous posts with these jeans that the leg prim click here. A great pair of jeans, in real life or second life, is a must in any closet, and you most definitely cannot go wrong with these!

The boots I’m wearing, which I plan to do a full review on within the next couple of days, are one of the new releases from the newly created Mon Tissu shop by the designers of Surf Co. and Tres Blah. I have been looking forward to the opening on Mon Tissu since the announcement of the coming store was first released, and I am most definitely not disappointed with the quality of the items. The Provence Riding Boots are exquisitely made; you will be hard pressed to find another pair of boots of this quality for L$350. If you have not checked out Mon Tissu on the Lula SIM, I highly recommend that you do so. The design of the buildings and the surrounding land alone is worth a visit!

Old Saint Nick Hunt @ Lemania

Since I had a day off of RL work today, I thought I would try to completely Photoshop a snapshot from Second Life for the first time. Normally, I upload my background images to SL and take my pictures in front of a backdrop. I had wanted to try adding backgrounds via Photoshop for a while, but I had never had the time which apparently is exactly what you need a lot of! I am pleased with my very first completely Photoshoped image, but I do believe I won’t be doing too many of them. It takes an insane amount of time to just erase the background to get a nice cutout of the ava. In my busy life, I only have time for in world backdrops!

Last weekend marked the beginning of the December hunt on the Lemania SIM. Each month, Lemania Indigo Designs hosts a SIM wide hunt in which designers located on the SIM will place out prizes at L$1 each. You can normally find anywhere from ten to thirty hunt prizes at Lemania Indigo Designs which are typically valued at L$300 or more. Pink Sparkles and Diamonds & Gold Jewelry are two prizes which you can find in the Old Saint Nick Hunt (December Lemania Hunt) which runs from December 11 through December 31st. Fourteen gifts have been placed out by Lemania at L$1 each. Other designers located on the SIM are also participating; so, be sure to check them out as well!

Free Shoes Excite Me

Purrfect 10 released two new FREE pairs of shoes yesterday! To receive both pairs, you must be a member of the VIP group (L$510 joining fee). By joining the VIP group, you are guaranteed ten exclusive VIP gifts per year. Seeing that the going price for a pair of Purrfect 10 shoes is upwards of L$1000, I think L$510 for ten pairs of shoes per year is a pretty good deal! The Christmas version of the Serenity Heels is available to all members of the free Purrfect 10 update group. Both pairs of shoes are exceptionally well made and give customers and excellent example of the quality they can expect to find in all Purrfect 10 creations.

Keep Me Warm

To be quite honest, I normally hate dresses with a prim piece between the legs. For me, the textures never seem to line up correctly, and I normally have to stretch the piece to be such an odd shape that it just doesn’t look right. Needless to say, I was pleasantly surprised when I tried on the new sweater dress from Amanda’s Fashion and the prim piece fit perfectly and blended beautifully! Included with the black sweater dress are three pair of leggings which include a solid black, grey and black stripes and grey and black swirls. The complete ensemble is available for only L$150!

The boots I am wearing with this outfit are the newly released Button Boots from BOOM which are an addition to the “Good Buys” line. These adorable boots feature fur trimming and two little buttons on the outside of the shoe. TWENTY colors are available at L$90 per pair. These boots are perfect for all the snow your ava will be walking through this winter!

Week 6 of 52 Weeks of Color - Yellow

I’m not entirely sure that I could have stomached an entire picture of this week’s color for Luna Jubilee’s 52 Weeks of Color. Yellow is not a color I have ever completely loved to wear, and it definitely doesn’t remind me of anything having to do with December. Perhaps the last bit has something to do with the two inches of snow in my yard right now, however. I’m sure if I lived in the southern hemisphere I would have a different perspective.

I am so proud that I only bought one new item for my picture this week, and even that item I could have gotten a review copy of if I had wanted to wait! Several designers in Second Life have joined the “Do You 52?” movement; this means that if you want to use one of their items in your weekly color post, all you have to do is send a notecard to receive the item for review! BOOM, the creator of the shirt and scarf I am wearing, is one of the stores participating in this. I already had the thermal shirt in my inventory since the designer of BOOM sent it as a review item several weeks ago. Unfortunately, I was MIA when the review copies for the scarf were sent, but the scarf is so beautiful and so well designed that I had to go pick up a copy anyway which resulted in my one purchase for the week!

The pants I am wearing are part of a complete outfit, titled London Fog, from Lemania Indigo Designs. The outfit even includes an adorable pair of red boots! I’m not sure exactly how long I have had this in my inventory as I acquired it when I worked as a live model and personal stylist for Lemania. I checked to see if Lemania still has this design in store for all my lovely readers, and I couldn’t find it. Not to worry though! The outfit is still available on SL Martketplace. You really cannot go wrong with a complete outfit including shirt, pants, coat and boots for only L$395!

The shoes that I am wearing have been in my SL inventory for 10,000 years. Ok… not really, but you get the idea. Actually, I have never even worn the boots before I took this picture, but when [hoorenbeek] first released the shoes many months ago, I just HAD to have them! Not like me at all…. LOL! I knew that I would need them some day. I’m just good like that I suppose. Lol As with all other purchases I have made from [hoorenbeek], I am not disappointed in the quality of these shoes. They are exceptionally made with all the care that the designer puts into every release. Although the boots are titled Ellie, they are unisex. The boots are available in six colors including black, green, orange, purple, red and yellow at L$520 per pair or L$2,100 for the fatpack.

I am super excited that next week’s color is a shade of pink! Pink is my absolute favorite color; however, I am a little worried that I may not be able to find the exact shade of pink that is being featured. I’ve never even heard of cerise! I’ll do my best though… promise! =)

Week 5 of 52 Weeks of Color - Sepia

Yes, I know I'm running a little behind, but at least I will get the color in for this week before Luna Jubilee posts the new color for next week, yellow, tomorrow morning. I thought I would look in my inventory for this week's theme, sepia; however, when I did an inventory search, the only thing I came up with was a sepia colored tent. I have no idea where it came from or why I even have it, but obviously, that wasn't going to do!

When I saw the new releases from Miel this week, I knew the items would be perfect for the color challenge! Like all other designs by Miel, the new additions to the Lia Collection are absolutely fantastic! This skirt, belt and shoes are all sculpted; so, I would definitely recommend purchasing a demo pair before committing yourself to any of the items. As IRL, not all sculpts are friendly to every shape in SL. However, the great thing with SL is that you can change your shape! Why can't it be that easy IRL?!

The hair that I am wearing is a One.Eleven exclusive from !lamb.. Unfortunately, the hair is now sold out; however, !lamb. released a new hair design this week with the opening of their new main store location on Lula with Tres Blah! It's a definite must see.

Elegance

Looking to add a little elegance to your wardrobe? If so, you should most definitely visit the Lemania SIM soon. Both Lemania Indigo Designs and Siss Boom have placed out elegant L$100 specials which are sure not to last long. Always a Bridesmaid and Always You are among my favorites of new Lemania releases. I absolutely adore 'poofy' dresses, and Lemania has done an amazing job with Always You. The textures are absolutely beautiful, and there is just the right amount of poof with the skirt.

It's Beginning to Feel a Lot Like Christmas

I would like to start off with an apology to the designer of JeSyLilo, LiLo Glom, who sent me five amazing new skins last week. I had every intention of blogging these last week, but real life got crazy fairly quickly. These skins are absolutely beautiful, and I am sorry that I could not get them to my readers sooner.

The new Christmas skin released by JeSyLilo last week is stunning to say the least. I particularly love the eye shadows; the designer has added just the right amount of sparkle without going completely overboard. The skin is offered in three tones (light, tan and dark) and five different makeup choices at L$1200 each or L$4500 for the fatpack. Each makeup has options for freckles/no freckles, small breasts/large breasts, matte/shiny and hairbase/no hairbase. Also, JeSyLiLo has placed several free items (including eight skins!) out for the Christmas season.
